The Ranger Never Had a Home for a Second Battery. We're About to Change That.

The Ranger Never Had a Home for a Second Battery. We're About to Change That.

The Next-Gen Ranger and Ranger Super Duty are two of the best touring platforms on the market, but ask any owner who's tried to fit a second battery under the bonnet, and you'll get the same answer: there's nowhere to put it.

Ranger engine bay

No factory space. No clean mounting point. No easy way in. Just a tight engine bay and a list of compromises — batteries wedged in wherever they'll fit, wiring run wherever it'll reach, and support brackets that were never actually engineered for the job.

So we built the fix

Over the past several months, our team of auto electricians has been heads-down designing and fabricating a proper solution — a heavy-duty support system engineered specifically for the Ranger's engine bay, built from multiple custom pieces designed and made in-house. Not an adaptation of something else. Built for this vehicle, from the ground up.

Simple to install. Not simple to design.

The install itself is genuinely simple — vehicle-specific harnesses, no cutting into factory wiring, done with our own instruction videos and PDFs. But simple to install doesn't mean simple to design. Getting to "plug and play" took real engineering work behind the scenes.

Built to your setup

Every tourer runs their rig differently, so we built the kit to match — not a one-size-fits-all box.

Charger options:

  • REDARC Alpha 25
  • REDARC Alpha 50
  • REDARC Classic 25
  • REDARC Classic 40

And there's another charger brand joining the lineup down the track — stay tuned for that one.

Battery options:

  • No battery — bring your own
  • Invicta 100Ah — supplied with the kit
  • Invicta 120Ah — supplied with the kit

We've also tested the kit with other lithium battery brands, including the Invicta 160Ah, with fitment confirmed in-house — so there's room to go bigger if that's what your setup needs. But the batteries we back the kit with, the Invicta 100Ah and 120Ah, are there for a reason: they carry an IP67 rating and are built to handle the heat of actually living under the bonnet.

We weren't trying to be first. We're aiming to be the best.

Kits like this already exist for the Ranger. We watched them, we saw where they fell short, and instead of rushing something out to be first, we took the months needed to actually fix those problems before putting our name on it. That's the difference between a kit that's first to market and one that's built to last.
