Description

Take the guesswork out of installing a dual battery system with one of the most comprehensive DIY power solutions available for the Toyota LandCruiser Prado 250 Series. Developed over months of design, test fitting and real-world refinement, this complete under-bonnet kit has been engineered to deliver the clean fit, dependable performance and professional finish you would expect from a premium auto-electrical installation—without sacrificing any cabin or cargo space. Whether you’re powering a fridge, camp lighting, communications equipment or essential 12V accessories, it provides reliable off-grid power in a package designed specifically around the Prado 250.

Every kit is supplied with the major electrical components pre-mounted and pre-wired using premium automotive cabling and protective sheathing. The wiring is cut to length, terminated, fused and clearly labelled, removing the need to calculate cable sizes, source individual components, crimp heavy-duty terminals or design the system yourself. Our vehicle-specific charge harness connects the start battery, auxiliary battery and BCDC charger together through pre-terminated connections, giving you a streamlined installation with no cutting or splicing into the vehicle’s factory wiring.

Unlike a collection of universal parts, every major bracket has been designed specifically for the Prado 250 Series. Our custom under-bonnet battery tray replaces the factory start-battery tray while securely retaining the original start battery and creating space for an Invicta Xero lithium auxiliary battery. A dedicated fuel-filter relocation bracket correctly repositions the factory fuel filter, while our vehicle-specific behind-grille charger bracket positions the REDARC Classic 25A BCDC charger away from engine-bay heat for improved airflow, convenient solar access and a clean OEM-style finish. Each metal component is finished in a durable textured black powder coat and supplied with the required mounting hardware.

At the heart of the system is the proven REDARC Classic 25A BCDC charger, providing intelligent charging from the vehicle’s smart alternator and portable solar through its built-in MPPT regulator. Green Power Priority™ makes the most of available solar energy before drawing from the alternator, while REDARC’s multi-stage charging profile safely and efficiently maintains the selected lithium battery. The kit also includes your choice of passenger-side rear socket bank, giving you convenient access to USB charging, 12V power, Anderson outputs or an Engel fridge connection inside the vehicle. Designed, manufactured and assembled by Accelerate Off-Grid Touring on the Sunshine Coast, this is a genuinely complete Prado 250 dual battery system—engineered so every component fits, connects and works together from the moment it arrives.

Shipping Policy

This kit has a 3 business day fulfilment time. This means your order will be picked, assembled (if required), and prepared for dispatch within three business days of purchase.

Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can monitor the progress of your delivery.

Estimated delivery timeframes within Australia:

  • Standard Shipping: 5–7 business days
  • Express Shipping: 3–5 business days

Please note:

  • Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on your location and the shipping carrier.

  • Tracking updates may take time to appear after dispatch while the carrier processes the shipment.

Lithium Battery and Dangerous Goods Shipping

If you purchase a dual battery kit that includes a lithium battery, the shipment will be classified as Dangerous Goods and sent via TNT/FedEx.

The lithium battery and the remainder of your kit may be packed separately and may arrive at different times, even though they are travelling under the same tracking or consignment number.

Dangerous Goods shipments must pass through additional handling and safety checkpoints while in transit. They may be temporarily held at these checkpoints for processing, which means we cannot provide an exact delivery date or ETA. Tracking updates may also pause for a period while the consignment is being processed.

These delays are part of TNT/FedEx’s Dangerous Goods transport process and are outside our control. Please continue monitoring your tracking information or contact the carrier directly for the latest available update.

We take care to ensure your order is securely packaged, correctly declared and dispatched as quickly as possible.

Returns Policy – 30 Days

We offer a 30-day return period from the date your order is delivered.

To be eligible for a return, the product must be:

  • In as-new, resellable condition
  • Unused and uninstalled
  • In the original packaging, including all supplied components and hardware
  • Free from damage, modification or signs of installation

Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Once the returned product has been received, inspected and confirmed to meet our return criteria, a refund will be processed to the original payment method.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product for a different item, the following applies:

  • The original product must be returned in as-new, resellable condition and in its original packaging.
  • The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the original product.
  • The customer is also responsible for the shipping cost of the replacement product.

Once the original item has been received and inspected, we will arrange dispatch of the replacement product.

Important Notes

  • We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning products, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
  • Accelerate Off-Grid Touring reserves the right to inspect and verify the condition of all returned items before approving refunds or exchanges.

FAQs

Will this kit fit all Toyota LandCruiser Prado 250 Series models?

The kit is designed for Toyota LandCruiser Prado 250 Series models from 2024 onwards. Vehicles with an aftermarket or auxiliary secondary fuel filter will require custom brackets and additional fabrication.

Can I supply my own battery?

Yes. Select the no-battery option and install a compatible LiFePO₄ battery measuring no more than 308mm (L) × 168mm (W) × 220mm (H) and weighing up to 15kg.

Does the REDARC Classic 25A charger have a jump-start feature?

No. The REDARC Classic 25A provides alternator and solar charging with built-in MPPT regulation, but it does not include a jump-start or start-battery recovery feature.

Can the socket bank be installed on the driver’s side?

The included socket-bank options are designed for passenger-side installation only. For a driver-side outlet, purchase the separate Driver-Side Add-On Socket with Y-Lead Bundle.
