Description

Turn the unused space beneath the rear floor of your Land Rover Defender 110 into a complete, plug-and-play DIY dual battery system. Designed to replace the factory foam section, this vehicle-specific kit arrives with the battery tray, REDARC Alpha charger, fuse protection and power connections already mounted, wired, fused, labelled and terminated. Simply install the tray, route the supplied charge harness and connect the matching Anderson plugs.

The lightweight aluminium tray is finished in a premium textured black powder coat and includes two grey Anderson accessory outputs, a red solar input and a blue DC input. A six-way fuse box and twin MIDI fuse holder provide clean, accessible circuit protection.

A factory jack relocation mount is integrated directly into the tray. With the jack mounted on the tray, there is room to mount either an Invicta 2000W inverter or an ARB compressor. If you store the jack elsewhere in the vehicle, there is room for both. The inverter, compressor and all associated wiring are not included and must be purchased, supplied and wired separately.

Choose between a REDARC Alpha 25A or 50A BCDC charger, with Bluetooth monitoring, solar priority, start battery charging support and jumpstart functionality. The system is available without a battery or with a side-mounted 100Ah or 200Ah Invicta Black lithium battery. Every kit is designed, wired and assembled in-house by our auto electricians at the Accelerate workshop in Maroochydore.

Important Fitment Information: This system has only been tested and confirmed to fit the Land Rover Defender 110 five-door. Fitment has not been tested or confirmed for the Defender 90 three-door or Defender 130 extended eight-seater.

Installation Instructions Are Not Yet Available: PDF instructions and a complete step-by-step installation video are scheduled for release by the end of September 2026. Orders placed before their release will not include published installation instructions. Customers installing the system before then will need to complete the installation without these guides or arrange installation through a qualified auto electrician.

Jack, Inverter and Compressor Layout

Factory Jack Mounted on the Tray

The integrated jack relocation mount keeps the factory jack securely stored beneath the rear floor. With the jack mounted on the tray, there is room for either:

  • One Invicta 2000W inverter, or
  • One ARB compressor

Includes 1 x Tie Down Strap for Jack

Factory Jack Stored Elsewhere

If you are happy to store the factory jack somewhere else in the vehicle, the tray has room for:

  • One Invicta 2000W inverter, and
  • One ARB compressor

Please Note: The inverter, compressor and associated wiring are not included with the dual battery kit. They must be purchased and wired separately. Inverter and compressor wiring is not available as an add-on option with this product.

REDARC Alpha 25A

A waterproof, smart alternator-compatible 25A DC-DC charger with Bluetooth monitoring, solar charging and start battery support.

REDARC Alpha 50A

Provides faster charging capability while retaining the complete range of REDARC Alpha features.

Battery Options

No Battery

Includes the assembled and pre-wired tray, selected REDARC Alpha charger, fuse protection, Anderson connections, battery straps and vehicle-specific charge harness. Battery cables are terminated with 16-8 battery lugs.

100Ah Invicta Black Lithium Battery

A compact LiFePO₄ battery with integrated Bluetooth monitoring, ideal for fridges, lighting and general touring accessories.

200Ah Invicta Black Lithium Battery

A higher-capacity LiFePO₄ battery suited to larger accessory loads, longer stays and more demanding off-grid setups.

Both battery options are suitable for side mounting and are secured using two Accelerate battery straps.

Optional Add-On Products

The following add-on products can be purchased separately:

Flush-Mount Socket Bank – Provides a clean, integrated location for your chosen 12V accessory sockets and includes a two-metre wiring tail

12V Distribution Box – Provides a convenient external power and accessory connection point and includes a two-metre wiring tail

Shipping Policy

This kit has a 7 business day fulfilment time. This means your order will be picked, assembled (if required), and prepared for dispatch within seven business days of purchase.

Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can monitor the progress of your delivery.

Estimated delivery timeframes within Australia:

  • Standard Shipping: 5–7 business days
  • Express Shipping: 3–5 business days

Please note:

  • Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on your location and the shipping carrier.
  • Delivery timeframes do not include the 7 business day fulfilment time.
  • Tracking updates may take time to appear after dispatch while the carrier processes the shipment.
  • Once your order has been dispatched, it is in the hands of the shipping carrier. For delivery updates, delays, or enquiries, we recommend contacting the carrier directly using your tracking number.

Lithium Battery and Dangerous Goods Shipping

If you purchase a dual battery kit that includes a lithium battery, the shipment will be classified as Dangerous Goods and sent via TNT/FedEx.

The lithium battery and the remainder of your kit may be packed separately and may arrive at different times, even though they are travelling under the same tracking or consignment number.

Dangerous Goods shipments must pass through additional handling and safety checkpoints while in transit. They may be temporarily held at these checkpoints for processing, which means we cannot provide an exact delivery date or ETA. Tracking updates may also pause for a period while the consignment is being processed.

These delays are part of TNT/FedEx’s Dangerous Goods transport process and are outside our control. Please continue monitoring your tracking information or contact the carrier directly for the latest available update.

We take care to ensure your order is securely packaged, correctly declared and dispatched as quickly as possible.

Returns Policy – 30 Days

We offer a 30-day return period from the date your order is delivered.

To be eligible for a return, the product must be:

  • In as-new, resellable condition
  • Unused and uninstalled
  • In the original packaging, including all supplied components and hardware
  • Free from damage, modification or signs of installation

Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Once the returned product has been received, inspected and confirmed to meet our return criteria, a refund will be processed to the original payment method.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product for a different item, the following applies:

  • The original product must be returned in as-new, resellable condition and in its original packaging.
  • The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the original product.
  • The customer is also responsible for the shipping cost of the replacement product.

Once the original item has been received and inspected, we will arrange dispatch of the replacement product.

Important Notes

  • We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning products, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
  • Accelerate Off-Grid Touring reserves the right to inspect and verify the condition of all returned items before approving refunds or exchanges.
  • Products that have been installed, modified, damaged or are missing components may not be eligible for return.

Which Defender models does this kit fit?

It has only been tested and confirmed to fit the Land Rover Defender 110 five-door. Fitment has not been confirmed for the Defender 90 or Defender 130.

Is the jack relocation included?

Yes. A dedicated factory jack relocation mount is integrated directly into the battery tray.

Are the inverter, compressor or their wiring included?

No. The tray provides mounting space only. The inverter, compressor and all associated wiring must be purchased, supplied and wired separately.

What add-on products are available?

The only add-on products are a flush-mount socket bank and a 12V distribution box. Each includes a two-metre wiring tail and must be added to the order separately.

Are installation instructions currently available?
