Ford Ranger Next-Gen & Super Duty Behind Seat Dual Battery Kit

Take the guesswork out of installing a dual battery system with a complete plug-and-play solution designed specifically for the Ford Ranger Next-Gen (2022-Present) and Ranger Super Duty (2026-Present). This behind-seat dual battery kit has been engineered to provide a clean, factory-style installation while delivering the reliability and performance required for serious touring, work, and off-grid adventures.

Every kit is supplied fully pre-built and pre-wired using premium automotive cable & sheathing, with all wiring pre-terminated, fused, labelled, and cut to length. There is no measuring, cable sizing, crimping, or wiring design required by you. Simply mount the pre-wired trays, route the supplied charge harnesses as shown in our detailed installation guide, and connect everything together via anderson plug. The system includes a dedicated battery tray & selected battery and a separate BCDC charger and fuse mounting tray, which both install neatly behind the rear seats while retaining functionality through the included vent spacer solution.

Built around REDARC's premium Alpha charging platform, the system delivers advanced charging, monitoring, and battery management capabilities beyond a traditional DC-DC charger. In addition to charging from both the vehicle alternator and solar, the Alpha system provides Bluetooth connectivity through the REDARC RedVision app, adjustable charging settings, start battery maintenance, and the ability to perform a flat battery reset directly from your smartphone. The BCDC charger tray incorporates two Grey Anderson outputs for powering accessories and a Red Anderson solar input, while a dedicated Blue Anderson plug provides a simple connection point for the vehicle charging harness. Every kit also includes a genuine Victron SmartShunt for accurate battery monitoring via your smartphone.

To support every style of touring setup, the kit can be purchased on its own or bundled with one of our optional socket panels or distribution boxes to create a complete rear power management system.

Please Note: If your Ford Ranger Next-Gen or Ranger Super Duty is equipped with the factory subwoofer, you will also require our Subwoofer Relocation Kit to install this dual battery system. The factory subwoofer occupies the same mounting location required for the behind-seat battery system and must be relocated to ensure correct fitment.

    Battery Options

    No Battery

    Supplied without a battery, allowing you to install your preferred lithium battery. The battery tray accommodates batteries up to 700mm (L) x 90mm (W) x 320mm (H). For easy connection to your chosen battery, the supplied battery cables are terminated with a 25-8 positive cable lug and a 25-8 negative cable lug.

    iTechworld SuperSlim 100Ah

    Our entry-level lithium option, offering reliable performance and excellent value for touring and everyday dual battery applications.

    Socket Bank Wiring Harness

    Designed specifically for our Behind Seat Dual Battery Kits, this plug-and-play wiring harness provides a simple connection between the dual battery kit and your chosen rear power solution. The harness is pre-terminated with Anderson plugs and is designed to plug directly into the dual battery kit and then directly into your selected Socket Bank or Customisable 12V Power Distribution Box. Supplied cut to length and ready to install, it eliminates the need for custom wiring while delivering a clean, professional installation.

    Socket Bank - NextGen Ford Ranger - Tub Mount

    Purpose-built to replace the factory plastic tub panel, our Next-Gen Ranger Socket Bank provides a clean, OEM-style power distribution solution that integrates perfectly with your new dual battery system. Manufactured from laser-cut aluminium and finished in a durable black powder coat, it offers convenient access to your most commonly used power outlets while maintaining a factory appearance.

    Customisable 12v Power Distribution Box

    A premium power distribution solution designed to complement your dual battery system with a clean, professional installation. Manufactured in-house from laser-cut and fully welded aluminium, the box features configurable socket layouts, dual Anderson outputs, and a dedicated solar input.

    Subwoofer Relocation Kit

    If your Ranger is fitted with the factory rear subwoofer, this relocation kit is required to allow installation of the Behind Seat Dual Battery System. The factory subwoofer occupies the same mounting location as the battery tray and must be relocated before the dual battery kit can be fitted.

    Commonly required on Wildtrak, Platinum, Stormtrak, and Raptor models fitted with the Bang & Olufsen (B&O) Premium Audio System, this kit provides a clean solution for relocating the factory subwoofer while retaining full functionality of the audio system. Without relocating the subwoofer, the dual battery system cannot be installed.

    Shipping Policy

    This kit has a 7 business day fulfilment time. This means your order will be picked, assembled (if required), and prepared for dispatch within two business days of purchase.

    Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can monitor the progress of your delivery.

    Estimated delivery timeframes within Australia:

    • Standard Shipping: 5 – 7 business days
    • Express Shipping: 3 – 5 business days

    Please note:

    Returns Policy – 30 Days

    We offer a 30-day return period from the date your order is delivered.

    To be eligible for a return, the product must be:

    • In as-new, resellable condition
    • Unused and uninstalled
    • In the original packaging, including all supplied components and hardware
    • Free from damage, modification, or signs of installation

    Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.

    The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

    Once the returned product has been received and inspected, and meets our return criteria, a refund will be processed to the original payment method.

    Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

    Exchanges

    If you wish to exchange a product for a different item, the following applies:

    • The original product must be returned in as-new, resellable condition, in original packaging
    • The customer is responsible for the shipping cost to return the original product
    • The customer is also responsible for the shipping cost of the replacement product being sent out

    Once the original item is received and inspected, we will arrange dispatch of the replacement product.

    Do I need to do any wiring?

    No. All wiring is pre-terminated, fused, labelled, and cut to length, significantly reducing installation time and complexity.

    Can I add solar charging?

    Yes. Every kit includes a dedicated Red Anderson solar input designed for unregulated solar panel connection, as the solar feed is regulated through the BCDC charger.

    What battery options are available?

    You can choose between the iTechworld SuperSlim 100Ah, Invicta SuperSlim 105Ah, or LBS 220Ah lithium batteries depending on your power requirements.

    Can I add power outlets later?

    Yes. The kit can be purchased on its own or paired with one of our socket panels, distribution boxes, or rear power outlet solutions.

    Can I purchase individual components separately?

    Yes. We offer several component options for customers who only need specific parts of the system or are building a custom setup.

    • Tray Assembly Only – Includes the battery tray and BCDC mounting tray, allowing you to source and install your own electrical components.
    • Charge Harness Only – Includes the complete vehicle-specific charge harness that runs from the starter battery under the bonnet to the Blue Anderson plug connection at the rear of the vehicle.

    This flexibility allows you to build the system that best suits your requirements while still benefiting from our vehicle-specific design and plug-and-play wiring solutions.

    What is the Flat Battery Reset feature?

    The REDARC Alpha charger allows you to use your auxiliary battery to assist in recovering a flat start battery via the REDARC RedVision app. This can be incredibly useful when camping or travelling remotely, reducing the need for jumper leads or a second vehicle.

    What additional benefits does the Alpha kit provide over the Classic kit?

    The Alpha kit adds Bluetooth monitoring and control, start battery charging support, start battery maintenance mode, adjustable charging settings, over-the-air updates, and the exclusive Flat Battery Reset feature, making it the most advanced behind-seat dual battery solution available for the Ranger platform.

    I Have a Subwoofer – Will This Kit Still Fit?

    Yes, however if your Ranger is fitted with the factory rear subwoofer, you will also need to purchase our Subwoofer Relocation Kit. The factory subwoofer occupies the same space required for the behind-seat battery tray, so it must be relocated before the dual battery system can be installed. Once relocated, the dual battery kit will fit correctly and the factory audio system will retain full functionality.
