Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series – The Ultimate Touring Setup

This 300 Series LandCruiser came to us for the full off-grid touring treatment — every element carefully designed to make life on the road easier, more comfortable, and completely self-sufficient. From power and storage to communications and protection, this build covers it all.

Rear Drawer System & Fridge Setup

We started with an RV Storage Solutions drawer system featuring an Evakool fridge stacker and Evakool 40L fridge/freezer combo. The drawers are finished in the premium black trim upgrade, offering a sleek, factory-style look that ties in perfectly with the rest of the build.

A lift-out hatch provides access to the space behind the fridge, with a neat, modular subframe to support the layout. This setup delivers maximum storage while keeping everything secure, accessible, and ready for touring.

Under-Drawer Dual Battery System

Under the drawers, we installed a 200Ah Invicta Super Slim lithium battery paired with a REDARC 40A BCDC charger. This combination provides robust off-grid power for extended travel, including solar input via the built-in MPPT.

We added a REDARC 2000W pure sine wave inverter with a remote switch, Victron 15A AC charger, and a complete socket bank including:

• Grey Anderson plug for fridge power

• Additional Anderson and USB outlets flush-mounted in the wing panels

• External red Anderson plug for solar input

• 240V double power point for AC appliances

This setup ensures reliable power delivery for everything from fridges to charging laptops and camera gear — all seamlessly integrated beneath the drawers.

UHF & Communications

To stay connected on and off the road, the vehicle received a GME XRS370C UHF with AE4704B antenna, neatly mounted using our custom Accelerate LC300 tailgate bracket and GMF handpiece mount. The system is fully ignition-wired, providing clear communication wherever the journey leads.

Rock Sliders, Bar Work & Protection

We fitted Phat Bars flat rock sliders with a rhino-lined dimple tread, giving the 300 Series serious side protection and a tough touring look.

At the rear, a Raslarr rear carrier bar was added, complete with a 7-pin trailer plug kit, offering superior departure angles and integrated towing functionality.

Up front, the vehicle features an Ironman 4x4 Raid bull bar with cube lights and a 32” lightbar, paired with Stedi Type-X EVO driving lights in spot and flood beam combinations. These were all wired using a Stedi SMART high-beam harness for a clean, plug-and-play integration.

Interior Storage & Organisation

Inside the cargo area, we installed the Kaon light cargo barrier, standalone shelf, and molle side supports, providing extra storage, security, and organisation for long trips.

This setup helps keep heavier gear down low while offering additional lightweight storage above.

Roof Rack & Solar Setup

Up top, we fitted the ARB BASE Rack (1545 × 1285) with an ARB slimline roof light, driving light harness, and an Enerdrive 190W solar panel mounted neatly to the rack. The solar panel feeds directly into the REDARC BCDC charger to keep the Invicta lithium topped up while travelling.

We also added ARB recovery track mounts and a Starlink Mini mount for complete connectivity and functionality on the road.

On-Board Air System

An ARB twin compressor paired with a Tuff Terrain 7m retractable hose reel gives on-demand air for tyre inflation or air tools. The system includes a remote chuck, switch, digital inflator, and a 6m ARB hose — tucked neatly behind the drawers for easy access.

Monitoring & Control

We integrated a Simarine Pico display panel and shunt, allowing the owner to monitor power input, battery levels, inverter usage, and more — all in one sleek display.

Comfort & Protection

To keep this 300 looking as good as it performs, the vehicle received a full ceramic paint and interior protection package, providing long-term durability against dust, dirt, and harsh touring conditions.
