Description

Take the guesswork out of installing a dual battery system with a complete, vehicle-specific power solution designed for the Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series Dual Cab. This compact 100Ah system transforms the otherwise unused space behind the driver’s-side rear seat into dependable power for your fridge, camp lighting, communications equipment and essential 12V accessories—without taking up valuable floor or tray space. It’s the ideal setup for daily drivers, weekend tourers and anyone wanting a clean, reliable power system without paying for features they don’t need.

Every major component is pre-mounted and pre-wired using premium automotive cable and protective sheathing. The wiring is cut to length, terminated, loomed, fused and clearly labelled, removing the need to calculate cable sizes, crimp heavy-duty terminals or design the system from scratch. Our custom laser-cut aluminium tray securely houses the selected battery, REDARC charger, six-way fuse box and MIDI fuse protection, while colour-coded Anderson plugs provide straightforward connections for vehicle charging, solar and additional accessories.

Choose from a REDARC Core or Classic 25A or 40A BCDC charger to match your budget, driving habits and charging requirements, then add your preferred Invicta or Enerdrive 100Ah slimline lithium battery. With optional plug-and-play harnesses and power distribution boxes available, the system can be expanded into a complete touring power setup whenever you’re ready. Designed, manufactured and assembled by Accelerate Off-Grid Touring on the Sunshine Coast, this kit delivers the clean finish and reliability of a professionally installed system in a genuinely DIY-friendly package.

    Socket Bank Wiring Harness

    Designed specifically for our Behind Seat Dual Battery Kits, this plug-and-play wiring harness provides a simple connection between the dual battery kit and your chosen rear power solution. The harness is pre-terminated with Anderson plugs and is designed to plug directly into the dual battery kit and then directly into your selected Socket Bank or Customisable 12V Power Distribution Box. Supplied cut to length and ready to install, it eliminates the need for custom wiring while delivering a clean, professional installation.

    Shipping Policy

    This kit has a 5 business day fulfilment time. This means your order will be picked, assembled (if required), and prepared for dispatch within five business days of purchase.

    Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can monitor the progress of your delivery.

    Estimated delivery timeframes within Australia:

    • Standard Shipping: 5 – 7 business days
    • Express Shipping: 3 – 5 business days

    Returns Policy – 30 Days

    We offer a 30-day return period from the date your order is delivered.

    To be eligible for a return, the product must be:

    • In as-new, resellable condition
    • Unused and uninstalled
    • In the original packaging, including all supplied components and hardware
    • Free from damage, modification, or signs of installation

    Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.

    The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

    Once the returned product has been received and inspected, and meets our return criteria, a refund will be processed to the original payment method.

    Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

    Exchanges

    If you wish to exchange a product for a different item, the following applies:

    • The original product must be returned in as-new, resellable condition, in original packaging
    • The customer is responsible for the shipping cost to return the original product
    • The customer is also responsible for the shipping cost of the replacement product being sent out

    Once the original item is received and inspected, we will arrange dispatch of the replacement product.

    • We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning products, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.

    FAQs

    Can you legally mount a lithium battery inside the cab?

    Yes – it’s perfectly legal to install a lithium battery inside the cab of a vehicle like the 79 Series. The cab is not classed as a “living space,” so you don’t need a sealed or vented enclosure like you would in a caravan or camper. Plus, the Invicta and Enerdrive batteries we offer are IEC-certified and compliant for in-cab use.

    Can I install this kit if I have child restraints fitted behind the seat?

    No – this kit is not compatible with vehicles that have child restraint anchor points installed behind the rear seat. For a child seat–friendly option, we recommend checking out our 200Ah Dual Battery Kit, which is designed to work around those restraints.

    Will a 100Ah battery be enough for off-grid touring?

    Yes – a 100Ah lithium battery is more than capable of powering your fridge, camp lights, and other small accessories for weekend trips or moderate off-grid use. It’s a solid choice for daily drivers and lighter touring setups.

    What’s the difference between the REDARC Core and Classic chargers?

    The Core range is compact and budget-friendly, ideal for basic installs and daily driving. The Classic chargers are fully sealed and built for rugged conditions, making them better suited for off-road touring or harsh environments.

    Is the kit easy to install myself?

    Absolutely – this kit is designed as a plug & play DIY setup. All wiring is pre-wired, loomed, and terminated, with the charger pre-mounted to the tray. It’s one of the easiest ways to get a clean dual battery install without needing custom fabrication or advanced electrical knowledge.
