FAQs

Wait, I thought you couldn’t have a lithium battery in the cabin?

Actually, you can because the cab of a 79 Series isn’t considered a living space. The rules that require lithium batteries to be in sealed, vented enclosures only apply when the battery is installed in a certified living area, like a caravan or camper. Inside a vehicle cab, that requirement doesn’t apply. And for peace of mind, the Invicta lithium battery we supply is IEC certified and fully compliant for in-cab installation.

Will a 200Ah lithium battery actually fit behind the rear seat?

Yes – this kit includes a full-length slimline tray custom-designed to fit snugly behind the rear seat of all 79 Series Single and Dual Cab models, without taking up any tray or floor space.

What’s the difference between the REDARC Core and Classic chargers?

The Core is a cost-effective option for daily drivers and lighter loads. The Classic is fully sealed and weatherproof – ideal for harsher environments, touring setups, or when the charger will be exposed to dust and water.

Can this kit run a 2000W inverter?

Definitely. The 200Ah Invicta lithium battery in this kit delivers up to 250A continuous discharge – more than enough to comfortably run a 2000W inverter for things like coffee machines, induction cooktops, or power tools.

Does this kit work with child restraints?

Yes. The 200Ah tray is fully compatible with child restraints. The tray’s mounting holes are positioned on either side of the child restraint anchor point, so installation does not interfere with its use.
