100Ah Dual Battery Kit for 79 Series – Compact. Capable. Pre-Wired.

Looking for a reliable dual battery setup without going all-in on price? This DIY 100Ah kit is your no-fuss, entry-level power system – made to fit neatly behind the driver’s side rear seat of your 79 Series LandCruiser (pre and post-facelift).

It’s still fully pre-wired, pre-mounted, and plug & play – just with a simplified charger setup using the trusted REDARC Core or Classic range. Paired with your choice of slimline lithium battery, it’s ideal for powering your fridge, lights, and small accessories while keeping your floor and tray space clear.

Perfect for daily drivers, weekend tourers, or anyone after a clean, in-cab solution without the extra bells and whistles.

Please note: This kit cannot be installed if child restraints are fitted to the vehicle. If you require child seat compatibility, please refer to our 200Ah Dual Battery Kit instead.

REDARC Classic 25A – Built for the outback. Fully sealed and weatherproof, this rugged charger thrives in tough environments, ideal for caravans and serious tourers tackling the Aussie terrain.

REDARC Core 40A – A high-output, compact solution for modern 4WDs. Great for those needing faster charging without breaking the bank, perfect for weekend warriors or lighter off-grid builds.

Shipping Policy

This kit has a 5 business day fulfilment time. This means your order will be picked, assembled (if required), and prepared for dispatch within five business days of purchase.

Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can monitor the progress of your delivery.

Estimated delivery timeframes within Australia:

  • Standard Shipping: 5 – 7 business days
  • Express Shipping: 3 – 5 business days

Please note:

  • Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on your location and the shipping carrier.
  • Delivery timeframes do not include the 5 business day fulfilment time.
  • Tracking updates may take time to appear after dispatch while the carrier processes the shipment.
  • Once your order has been dispatched, it is in the hands of the shipping carrier. For delivery updates, delays, or enquiries, we recommend contacting the carrier directly using your tracking number.

We take care to ensure your order is securely packaged and dispatched as quickly as possible.

Returns Policy – 30 Days

We offer a 30-day return period from the date your order is delivered.

To be eligible for a return, the product must be:

  • In as-new, resellable condition
  • Unused and uninstalled
  • In the original packaging, including all supplied components and hardware
  • Free from damage, modification, or signs of installation

Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Once the returned product has been received and inspected, and meets our return criteria, a refund will be processed to the original payment method.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a product for a different item, the following applies:

  • The original product must be returned in as-new, resellable condition, in original packaging
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping cost to return the original product
  • The customer is also responsible for the shipping cost of the replacement product being sent out

Once the original item is received and inspected, we will arrange dispatch of the replacement product.

  • We recommend using a tracked shipping service when returning products, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
  • Accelerate Off-Grid Touring reserves the right to inspect and verify the condition of all returned items before approving refunds or exchanges.
  • Products that have been installed, modified, damaged, or are missing components may not be eligible for return.

FAQs

Can you legally mount a lithium battery inside the cab?

Yes – it’s perfectly legal to install a lithium battery inside the cab of a vehicle like the 79 Series. The cab is not classed as a “living space,” so you don’t need a sealed or vented enclosure like you would in a caravan or camper. Plus, the Invicta and Enerdrive batteries we offer are IEC-certified and compliant for in-cab use.

Can I install this kit if I have child restraints fitted behind the seat?

No – this kit is not compatible with vehicles that have child restraint anchor points installed behind the rear seat. For a child seat–friendly option, we recommend checking out our 200Ah Dual Battery Kit, which is designed to work around those restraints.

Will a 100Ah battery be enough for off-grid touring?

Yes – a 100Ah lithium battery is more than capable of powering your fridge, camp lights, and other small accessories for weekend trips or moderate off-grid use. It’s a solid choice for daily drivers and lighter touring setups.

What’s the difference between the REDARC Core and Classic chargers?

The Core range is compact and budget-friendly, ideal for basic installs and daily driving. The Classic chargers are fully sealed and built for rugged conditions, making them better suited for off-road touring or harsh environments.

Is the kit easy to install myself?

Absolutely – this kit is designed as a plug & play DIY setup. All wiring is pre-wired, loomed, and terminated, with the charger pre-mounted to the tray. It’s one of the easiest ways to get a clean dual battery install without needing custom fabrication or advanced electrical knowledge.
