The team at Accelerate have answered 79 series owners prayers and have been busy designing our brand new Behind The Seat Lithium Dual Battery Kit.
After going back to the drawing board we have finalised this long awaited DIY Dual Battery Kit.
This kit has already been installed and tested in multiple vehicles in our workshop in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.
This DIY kit has everything you need to install the kit into your 79 Series, including step by step instructions. OR you could have it professionally fitted here in our workshop at Maroochydore.
This is the perfect way to utilise the wasted space behind the seats in the 79, whilst still retaining full function of the seats.
The 100Ah Invicta Slim Lithium battery or 100Ah Enerdrive Slim Lithium Battery provides the perfect amount of power to be able to keep a fridge running, phones charged and strip lights on during the night* and then get a full charge from the REDARC BCDC within two hours of driving*.
With the addition of solar input you can stay off grid for days with this compact and durable battery kit!

DC-DC Charger Options
1. Redarc BCDC1225D – 25A 3-Stage DC-DC Charger
- Recommended for AGM batteries (can be used with lithium but charges slower than the BCDC1240D).
2. Redarc Core BCDC1225D – 25A 3-Stage DC-DC Charger
- Ideal for in-cabin, canopy, or battery box setups where dust/weatherproofing isn’t required.
3. Redarc BCDC1240D – 40A 3-Stage DC-DC Charger
- Recommended for lithium battery options.

Important Notes
- Lithium Battery Shipping: Kits including lithium batteries are shipped via TNT due to dangerous goods regulations. TNT cannot provide an estimated delivery time.
- Build Time: We generally allow 1–2 weeks for assembly, with most kits built within a week. If delays occur, we’ll contact you.
- Shipping Time: Once dispatched, delivery typically takes 1–2 weeks, depending on your location.
PLEASE NOTE
Tray has been designed to suit Invicta / Enerdrive lithium Batteries. Tray may suit some AGM variants but it has not been tested by Accelerate Auto Electrics.
If the Child restraints have been fitted LOW on the back wall of the vehicle the tray will cover the drivers side restraint.

Please note your battery & the rest of your kit may arrive via different freight companies at different times.
Postage Time Frames:
As each kit is custom built it may take us some time to process and dispatch your order.
Please allow 2 weeks for estimated dispatch time. Shipping can take 1-2 weeks depending on your location and postal service.
This kit is classified as dangerous goods, because of this it is common for it to be held for 3-4 days on average for inspection during the shipping process. If your kit still hasn't arrived after 2 weeks from shipment date on tracking, please don’t hesitate to contact us
