Please inspect the condition of your dash before purchasing.
The included handpiece mount uses heavy-duty adhesive to attach to the left-hand side of the dash. We have found that some older N80 Hilux models have deteriorated, weathered or degraded dash surfaces that may prevent the adhesive from bonding correctly, even when the area has been thoroughly cleaned and the mount has been installed as instructed.
The mount adheres securely to newer vehicles with intact dash surfaces. However, adhesion cannot be guaranteed on older, damaged, cracked, chalky, porous or deteriorated dashboards. If your dash is showing signs of deterioration, please understand that the mount may not adhere correctly and installation is undertaken at your own risk.
Cleaning cannot restore a degraded dash surface or guarantee adhesion. We are currently investigating alternative mounting designs for older vehicles affected by this issue.
